This course is essentially an introductory survey of the main goals and research areas of linguistics – with special emphasis on problems and issues arising in the description and analysis of English. We will mainly deal with the core areas of modern linguistics, namely phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.
Registration: Via "Elektronisches Vorlesungsverzeichnis" alias "WUSEL" during the registration period for the "Anglistik/Amerikanistik" department.
