We will discuss representative texts from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The focus will be on the characteristics of each period, its history and culture, and we will situate the texts in these contexts. The objective of the course is to give students a general overview of British literary history.

Intensive Auseinandersetzung mit der von der Lehrperson benannten Primär- und Sekundärliteratur, nachgewiesen durch aktive und regelmäßige Mitarbeit (z.B. Arbeitsgruppen, Impulsreferate oder Präsentationen) in der Lehrveranstaltung oder durch von der Lehrperson festzulegende Ersatzleistungen wie z.B. Klausur oder mündliche Prüfung. |
